What are the benefits of membership?
IASCA’s sole objective is to support and promote ASCs in our state. Our mission statement, Providing support and resources to Idaho ASCs delivering high quality, safe, cost-effective care remains at the core of everything that we do. You are the reason that we exist and the purpose that defines our dedication of time and energy.
Your Board remains good stewards of your investment. Your membership dollars support quality educational offerings; an independent contractor serving as our Executive Director; a representative on the State Affairs Committee to provide a point of contact between ASCA, its staff and our members who will network with representatives from other state associations; a paid state legislative lobbyist working on our behalf to lobby on those issues that may be beneficial or detrimental to our success, and campaign contributions to candidates we wish to support who align with our principles and objectives.
Your association has an all volunteer BOD which function as a cohesive working board representing you. Membership dollars send Board representatives to Washington DC to meet with our Federal elected officials. Finally, residual funds from all levels of membership are invested in short and long term CDs to further ensure the financial health of your organization.
Why is the annual meeting held in Boise each year?
The site and timing of the annual meeting is a strategic decision. During election years we hold a legislative reception during the annual meeting in order to spend some quality time with our state leaders. Since they are in session at the state house, the location and time is convenient for the legislators and ensures optimum participation. This is a great opportunity to network with elected officials and share the value that ASC’s provide to Idaho patients.
Where may I find documents that govern our association?
